Scripture Focus: Psalm 119:57-64
"You are my portion, O Lord; I have promised to obey your words. I
have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according
to your promises" (Psalm 119:57-58).
A portion biblically represents what we are allotted in life, our
possessions. It's also defined as a share received as either a gift
or inheritance. The psalmist is proclaiming: "Above all earthly
wealth I possess, You, O Lord, are my greatest treasure. The God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob i…

I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight. Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.QuotedMark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 2 Tim 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Th…

1Pe 4:10 As every man hath (received the gift,) even so minister the

1Pe 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as (the oracles of God;) if
any man minister, let him do it as of the (ability which God giveth:)
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom
be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes. My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

So why not make peace with those who may have
angered you, remembering the Words of our Savior Jesus
Christ; Blessed are the peacemakers, for

Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.QuotedProv 12:13-14 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him. Sit Still! Take out time to just think. It is not a matter of Law, but rather life. When we critisize the Shabbath, we are saying that cannot provide our needs and apart from our work we have no idenity. This is a tender Commandment. (EX. 16:4,18,22,24,27)
The provisions of Israel, brought from Egypt, were spent by the middle of the 2nd month, and they murmured. It is no new thing for the greatest kindness to be barely represented as the greatest injuries. They so far undervalue their deliveran…

WASHINGTON -- Before sending Lewis and Clark west, Thomas Jefferson dispatched Meriwether Lewis to Philadelphia to see Dr. Benjamin Rush. The eminent doctor prepared a series of scientific questions for the expedition to answer. Among them, writes Stephen Ambrose: "What Affinity between their (the Indians') religious Ceremonies and those of the Jews?" Jefferson and Lewis, like many of their day and ours, were fascinated by the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, and thought they might be out there on the…

Nothing, to the spiritual man. To the carnal mind, they are anathema.
1. Thou shalt have no other Gods before Me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image (to represent God).
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath (seventh) day, t…

From our perspective of grace, having been liberated from law-keeping as a means of justification and righteousness, this is a very fitting prayer. We can look around our world and see the anarchy and brutality when there is no principle of law undergirding the soul o…

133 Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Brothers and Sisters,
How often in a day do we turn to Godʼs words to seek guidance?
We have so many decisions to make of various importances to ourselves and others. Do we really seek Godʼs will and make the choices that honor Him? Or do we decide things in how important the decision is to our own personal gain, or honor, or status?
Jesus made decisions while he was here among us. God made the decision to send Jesus t…

1) Thou shalt not gossip. Prov. 18:8 Before any evil story whispered in the ear is passed on, it should be treated as the housewife treats apples for a pie ... first peeled, then quartered, and cored, then
what remains liberally sugared.
(2) Thou shalt not use a multitude of empty words. Prov. 10:19. Your tongue reveals the nature of your thinking and your character. The Divine Master Himself admonishes the children of men to "let your
admonishes be yea, yea, nay, nay, for whatsoever is more th…

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Rom. 8:1, 2)
We need to first acquaint ourselves with the good news that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk daily in the Spirit. We have been freely forgiven and justified by God through the finished work of Christ. If we are constantly…

It may seem like we're dragging out this Abraham adventure, but I assure it there is purpose to this sharing. The events that unfolded in his life, his unparalleled obedience and faith in the Lord -- particularly considering the age in which he lived -- resulted in a friendship between him and God that set the pattern for every generation to follow. As a result of his faith and trust in the Lord, the blessing which was given him was promised to his seed in perpetuity.
For those believers in Jes…

Today being the first Sabbath of the month of August; we're half way between Pentecost and the Feast of Trumpets. Pentecost of course looking back reminds us that God chooses first fruits, that He places them in His church, that He gives those first fruits; that He actually gives us the gift of His Holy Spirit. Then it becomes our responsibility to use the Holy Spirit to grow and to overcome. The Feast of Trumpets looks ahead to a future event, our date with destiny.
As Jesus Christ returns we…
